Homer von Hofen is a very handsome and distinguished older German Shepherd. We aren’t sure how old he is, his lifetime of neglect shows. He hasn’t had a  loving home in years, someone who fed him every day and took him to the vet and loved him. He now had his ears flushed because of chronic ear infections, blood work and x-rays done. We can’t turn back the clock, but we can keep him comfortable.  The volunteers like to hang out in front of the rescue when they can with Homer, he loves to cross his paws and enjoy their company and just bask in the sun. He is very housebroken. He doesn’t ask for much, a little love, a place to nap and access to a yard so he can work on his tan in the sun.  He is grumpy with other dogs in his face, so just you and Homer with no other furry ones would be perfect! We aren’t sure how long Homer has, but we would love to make whatever time he has left count!
